What purpose is sonography? Where and when would I use it?
Transvaginal Sonography
This is an internal sonography by vaginal way. It makes part of a routine check up. It gives me a good picture of the internal genital area, your uterus, ovaries, pelvic and cervix area.
The device itself is almost the size of a tampon.
With this method any changes can be detected and we can promptly react.
This examination is completely painless.
Pregnancy
A prenatal sonography is a noninvasive diagnostic that uses sound waves to create a visual image of your baby, placenta and uterus, as well as other pelvic organs. It allows me to gather valuable information about the progress of your pregnancy and your baby's health
What information will my prenatal sonogram provide?
- I can determine the pregnancy
- I can observ the course and progress of your pregnancy
- I can follow the childs growth
- I can probably see the sex of the child before 20 weeks
- And of course there is the pleasure in BABY WATCHING
Doppler Sonography
This is a dynamic sonography that gives information about vascularisation in tissues and blood flow in vessels. It is used in obstetrics to assure baby´s wellbeing and in gynecology to differenciate dignity of structures. Therefor it gives a tool to identify early unpleasent processes.
Kidney Imaging
In particular cases, the device can be used to see problems on you kidneys.
